feel how the motions of breathing change the pressure of your body against the surface of whatever is under you

Feel whatever is under your body, your bed, a chair, the ground... As you breathe, feel how the motions of breathing change the pressure of your body against the surface of whatever is under you. The exhale is a motion of relaxation. All the muscles that have done the work of inhaling, during the exhale, relax. Give yourself time to feel this relaxation, taking place at the involuntary level, and cultivate it. You will be resting inwards, the very depth of what you are as a living being, and towards the ground, your base of support in the material world you are a part of. At the end of the exhale, take a moment to relish this relationship between the very depth of what you are as a living being and the material world you are a part of.
When you feel that your body needs new air, just open and let it flow in. You'll observe that the motion of inhaling will begin right in the very depth of your inner being. Often, there is much holding in that deep place, involuntary tension we cannot simply let go. If you find that, draw an imaginary line between the tension and the ground. Like this you are showing the tense place in your body where there is an opportunity for support.
When the inhale begins in that deep place, feel how it expands the tightness just a tiny bit. Give yourself time to let the air flowing in really expand also the rest of your body. Once you've had enough, simply let it go. Don't hold on to the air. Feel how this time you can rest a little bit deeper. In this manner, breath by breath, you gain in space, freedom of movement and responsiveness and the holding becomes less and less tight. With that motion you nourish and caress any place in your body and psyche that it hurt or injured, any place that needs loving attention to recover and heal.
Together with the air you exhale, let any unpleasantness, feeling and sensations you don't like, any excessive intensity and emotional charge flow out and surrender it to the greater force fields around you. With the new air you inhale, nourish your inner being with new energy and movement, helping you to change what needs to change, to heal what needs healing.
