The story is about a young backpacker who travels to Bonamara an African country whipped by a cruel dictatorship, Her visit puts several people on the road between them Akanni the protagonist of this story a rather peculiar human being, who taught her that in the life, while there is a minimum of breath, you can draw strength from anywhere to achieve what is proposed, even while defeated. The young Akanni knew how to mark her mark and that was something unusual in an oppressed society like her own; endowed with admirable courage with which she faced each situation, but above all her talent, she conscious of living in a marginalized society in which life demanded courage, forged herself. That is why it seemed to be endowed with the maturity that many adults lacked.
Description of the project. Main features, strengths and differentials.
Akanni is an agile novel, novel in its style, sometimes hard and quite realistic, especially original for how each story is told, it is an anthology of stories that describes the structural and socio-economic problems of African society, highlights the wars, human trafficking, hunger, misery and a series of problems that generate the immigration conflict and the causes that force people residing in it to undertake a journey towards death. «Imagine that a function is presented and they put on the stage several people representing a world problem whose focus is a continent. The staging is carried out with the masterful interpretation of a young anti-system, a dictator, a failed activist and the rest of the cast, represent the problem and reprisals. The novel itself tries to denounce the inequalities suffered by many people in the African continent, the power that the West exercises over them and over the presidents, their inaction; the mistreatment towards theirs, which generates economic and socio-sanitary difficulties and this leads to the need to emigrate, embarking on a mortal journey, those who arrive at the place that for them is "paradise and freedom", is they encounter difficulties sometimes worse than those suffered in their own country and sometimes they do not even reach that freedom.
The objective of this campaign is to raise funds to publish the novel. As soon as we have the financing, we can get to work with everything related to correction, layout of the book and the cover, as well as the printing of the copies. On January 15 we would have the copies ready to be sent to each patron. They can also pick them up in person during the presentation in Madrid, on January 30, 2020. The latter is optional since our goal is not to delay the shipment and that on January 18 you have your copies and rewards on hand; ready and signed.
All contributions will be used solely and exclusively for the printing of the work and, if we exceed our objective, the rest will go to charities and the printing of more copies.
The book has 450 pages to be printed with flaps.
If we get a greater number of patrons, we would put hard covers on the book.
Sponsors will be offered a total of 10 copies of the book, 1 special hardcover copy, 10 cover photos, 10 pins and 10 bookmarks; regardless of putting your logo.
Books are added to the rewards25 copies, 15 ebooks, 10 photos with the cover of the book, 25 bookmarks pages 10 pins and 10 booklets.
For the rest of the rewards we have also added some gifts that you can see. We offer pins with the cover of the book and photos in a size of 40x30 cm and 20x15
The rewards are all clear, the more copies you book, the more discount will be applied to you. Our goal is to build trust in patrons, as well as in sponsors.
As you can see, all our rewards include national shipping whose shipping cost is free. For international shipments, it would include the costs since they are somewhat high, I do not want to close to any country the goal is to reach the largest number of patrons since shipments throughout Europe and the United States are guaranteed by the parcel company.
Why this is important
This project is aimed at all types of audiences, from independent patrons to companies and organizations that wish to collaborate and show solidarity with such an interesting project, and thus bring people who are unaware of the true problems of the African continent to stand for a moment in the skin of its inhabitants and discover why the madness of crossing the Mediterranean without guarantees.
I have previous experience and I have had the opportunity to work with several people who accompanied me in the publication of my first novel; an anthology of stories Black Sex Experience: Fantasies of a rebel, (a novel with a story that highlights the figure of women as the main axis of society; but above all, the duality of the human being both in its virtues and in its defects, which is what makes it an exceptional being, tells the reality of some African women, the problems between mothers and daughters, the taboo of sexuality and the church as the promoter of these problems.
