Why this is important

I never thought that I would have to tell this story about my father, not even after the extraction of two malignant tumours and that the doctors informed us about the need of Chemotherapy.

Further a cancer illness and its treatment there is a person, with his live experiences and a way of being with its own contradictions and habits, and there is also a caring family with their own contradictions and hopes.

I have chatted to many friends whose close relatives have had cancer and after watching the rough cut I firmly believe that “Don Juan, el veneno” could help other cancer ill people and their families during the harsh period of the treatment.

This is a film full of human experiences and it could prevent people to start smoking or convince long time smokers to quit.
